Synthesis and Photolysis of N‐Phthalimidoaziridines with Electron‐Withdrawing Substituents.

Abstract: Substituents. -Mono-, bi-, tetra-, and pentacyclic N-phthalimidoaziridines are synthesized by oxidative addition of N-aminophthalimide (II) to corresponding unsaturated compounds. Photolysis of compound (Vb) in the presence of acetylenedicarboxylate (X) gives the product (XI) of 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition, whereas the other N-phthalimidoaziridines do not react. -(KUZNETSOV, M.
