Synthesis and ionic conductivity measurement of a new potassium ion conducting solid polymer electrolytes

Abstract: Synthesis and ionic conductivity measurement of a new PEO-based K+ ion conducting solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs): (1-x) PEO: x KCl, where 0≤x≤50 in wt%., are reported. The present SPEs have been prepared by hot-press technique. Ionic conductivity measurements have been carried out with the help of LCR meter. The activation energy of newly synthesized SPE has also been calculated with the help of Arrhenius plot. Materials characterizations have been carried out with the help of DSC analysis. Ionic nature of … Show more

“…It has extensive applications in the fabrication of electronic components, since it has high charge storage capacity and good chemical stability. 9 Chandra et al 10 reported a maximum ionic conductivity of 5.6 Â 10 À7 Scm À1 at room temperature for PEO/KCl system. Ravi et al 11 prepared PVP/KClO 4 system and achieved a maximum ionic conductivity of 9.1 Â 10 À6 Scm À1 at room temperature.…”
