Synthesis and insecticidal activity of novel 1,2,4‐triazole containing amidine moiety

Abstract: Under the guidance of molecular hybridization, a series of compounds containing neonicotinoid and amidine fragments were designed and synthesized. The biological activities were evaluated against Plutella xylostella and Aphis gossypii. Most of these compounds showed good activities with Aphis gossypii at the concentration of 500 μg/ml. The Structure–activity relationship analysis showed length and size of the alkyl group on the 1,2,4‐triazole skeleton have a significant impact on the insecticidal activity.
