Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Supramolecular Trinuclear Nickel(II) Complex with 5-Methoxy-4'-chloro-2,2'-[ethylenedioxybis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenol

Abstract: A new trinuclear Ni(II) complex has been synthesized through the reaction of an asymmetric Salamo-type ligand of 5-methoxy-4'-chloro-2,2'-[ethylenedioxybis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenol (H2L) with Ni(II) acetate tetrahydrate in n-butanol/acetonitrile solution and characterized by X-ray diffraction methods.
