“…Mandavgade and Gurnule prepared ion-exchange resin 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulphonic acid-catechol-formaldehyde (8-HQ-5-SACF) with a chelating effect by condensation polymerization using 2 M HCl as catalysts. The ion-exchange properties of the resin were tested by the gap equilibrium method.…”

“…Ahmed and colleagues [5] discovered an ion-exchange copolymer made of formaldehyde, o-toluidine, and 8-hydroxyquinoline that has increased metal ion absorption capacity and functions as a superior ionexchanger for metal ion removal. Gurnule and associates produced a copolymer resin from 2-hydroxy acetophenone and adipamide with tioxane when Pb 2+ ions were utilised as an ion exchanger in place of Cu 2+ , Ni 2+ , Cd 2+ , Zn 2+ , and Fe 3+ ions [6][7]. Additionally, a few harmful bacteria and fungi were inhibited by the produced copolymer.…”
