Synthesis and Characterizations of ZnO Thin Films Grown by Physical Vapor Deposition Technique

Abstract: In the current study, Zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films have been synthesized over the whole the glass-slide substrate by utilizing the physical vapor deposition (PVD) technique. The Zinc (Zn) seed layer was deposited by heating the high purity Zn powder by using a molybdenum (Mo) boat at 37.503×10-3 Torr vacuum pressure of the PVD chamber. The ZnO thin films were fabricated by oxidation of the Zn seed layer coated glass-slide substrate at 400 °C. The morphological, chemical compositions, crystal quality, structural… Show more

“…With respect to the band structure of Ag@CP-BNQDs, the Tauc plot was plotted from the data obtained from UV–vis absorption spectra. ,, As shown in Figure S2B,D, for example, Ag@CP-BNQDs was evaluated by extrapolation of the linear part of the curves measured by plotting (α h υ)2 versus h υ. Accordingly, for example, it was determined to be 2.29 eV in water and 2.53 eV when Ag@CP-BNQDs were dispersed in DMF.…”

“…ZnO thin films can be deposited on different substrates, such as glass, silicon, ceramic, fluorine-doped Tin Oxide (FTO), polyurethane foam, Quartz Glass and Sapphire (001) [12][13][14][15][16]. Various deposition techniques have been used to deposit active oxide thin films, including spray pyrolysis [17], physical vapor deposition [18], chemical vapor deposition [19], atomic layer deposition [20], and the sol-gel method [21]. The sol-gel dip-coating technique is a simple and inexpensive technique that is easy to control with a low deposition temperature and the ability to inject the metal oxide gel into substrate pores [22].…”
