Synthesis and characterization of zwitter ion functionalized Poly(styrene) based random co-polymer: One pot method

Abstract: The main target of the present research work is fabrication of low-cost poly(styrene) based membrane towards water filtration purpose. A zwitter ion functionalized poly(styrene) based random co-polymer was synthesized by one pot method. Acid and amine functionalized styrene-based co-polymer was synthesized by a free radical solution polymerization method in the presence of dicumylperoxide as a lone chemical initiator by one pot method under N2 atmosphere with vigorous stirring.
