Synthesis and Characterization of Se35Te65−xGex Nanoparticle Films and Their Optical Properties

Abstract: Thin films of () nanoparticles were synthesized using thermal evaporation method. They were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and absorption and transmission spectra. XRD results show that these films are of amorphous nature, while SEM images show nanoparticles with average particle size around 30 nm. No significant changes are observed in morphology of the deposited films by changing concentrations of Te and Ge. The optical behaviors of these films have been studied… Show more

“…radiation dosimetry. Recently, in this context many well known materials have been investigated using C 6+ , Li 3+ and Ag 12+ ions and found to possess promising properties for dosimetry of heavy charged particles [15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23]. In the same context, the present work, describes the carbon and 60 Co induced thermoluminescence properties of Li 2 BaP 2 O 7 :Dy samples.…”

“…Nano structured films obtained by assembling atomic clusters are of strategic importance for a wide variety of applications [1,2]. Recently, nano-structured thin films are prepared and studied for their structural, optical and electrical properties [19][20][21][22][23]. Formation of small clusters has been noticed [23] in Se − T e thin films.…”
