“…Therefore, the origin of this broad visible emission may be due to contributions from V Zn and V O . Furthermore, the morphology and structure of ZnO have a significant influence on the intensity of fluorescence emission . Among these three ZnO, ZnO-NS possesses the smallest emission band, implying the lowest combination rate of photogenerated electrons and holes.…”

“…The Y 1.4972 Ce 0.8384 Ru 0.0387 O 4 formula indicates that the Zn 2+ and Al 3+ ions are replaced by Ce 4+ , Ru 4+ , and Y 3+ in the well-known spinel ZnAl 2 O 4 . The XPS spectrum deconvolution for the O 1s peak, as given in Figure d, shows five peaks as O 1s, O 1s A, O 1s B, O 1s C, and O 1s D at 528.78, 530.31, 531.39, 532.58, and 533.78 eV, respectively, which are in agreement with the values presented for O 1s peaks in the literature. These five peaks may be assigned to the Y–O, Ce–O, and Ru–O bonds of the spinel catalyst material along with the C–O bonds due to the hydrocarbon compounds present on the particle surfaces. Three peaks are observed at 885, 900, and 917 eV (Figure e), which can be deconvoluted to three, four, and one peaks, respectively.…”

“…The above result concludes that the XRD pattern for this new novel material is specific, which is different from those of the sulfides mentioned above. 28 The full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) corresponding to the sharpest 2θ position at 26.61°was used to determine the average crystallite size using the Debye-Scherrer equation. The average crystallite size is also calculated from Debye-Scherrer's equation shown below;…”
