Synthesis and Characterization of Nanosized Dy-Doped of Ceria Developed by Microwave Assisted Combustion Route

Abstract: Nanosized Ce 1-x Dy x O 2-x/2 (DDC, were synthesized by combustion routes induced by microwaves (MS) and compared with the same composition prepared by conventional (CS) method. The conventional and microwave sintering routes were also used to consolidate the pellets. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffractometry (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and AC impedance spectroscopy. The as-combusted powders prepared by microwaves were found to be pure oxides w… Show more

“…The co-dopant compositions were selected on the basis of optimized composition of single dopant for highest ionic conductivity, which was (x = 0.15) in most of the earlier reports. [37][38][39][40][41][42][43] For the synthesis of the systems, all nitrate precursors procured from Sigma Aldrich, USA were used without further purification. The detail of the synthesis procedure is given elsewhere in our earlier work.…”
