Synthesis and characterization of nano-ceramic pigment Co0.5Zn0.5Al2O4 via polyacrylamide gel method

Abstract: Purpose The purpose of this paper is to synthesize and characterize nano-ceramic blue pigment Co0.5Zn0.5Al2O4 via polyacrylamide gel method. Generally, the high cost and the environmental toxicity of cobalt aluminate pigments lead them to become less common and cause problems in production process. To significantly reduce this problem, it is required to reduce the cobalt in the pigment and replace the cobalt with some amounts of zinc in the structure. Design/methodology/approach In this paper, calcination te… Show more

“…The polyacrylamide gel method is an effective method to synthesize ion-doped semiconductor photocatalysts, but it has not been used to synthesize BST photocatalysts. 33,34 Therefore, it is of great significance to synthesize BST photocatalysts by the polyacrylamide gel method and study the evolution of the phase structure, microstructure, energy band structure and photocatalytic activity of BST photocatalysts induced by strontium ions.…”

“…Pigments were synthesized in different ways. It is considerable that the technique for synthesis plays a key part in impacting the terminal favorable properties of nanopigments (Rahimian et al , 2020).…”
