“…Pure CdO cell parameters calculated as a = 0.46941 nm and for doped CdO (in x = 0.08 mmole) were a = 0.46912 nm. The calculations showed that the unit cell volume of pure CdO is 0.1034 nm 3 and that of the doped CdO is 0.10324 nm 3 . So, we can conclude that there is a contraction in the unit cell when doping Gd 3+ in CdO.…”
