Synthesis and Characterization of LiMVO[sub 4] Cathode Material Produced by Sol-gel Method

Lithium manganese vanadate (LiMnVO 4 ) has been prepared by a sol-gel method. XRD analysis reveals that the prepared sample possess orthorhombic structure. Laser Raman spectrum shows the local environment of cations vibrational modes with respect to neighboring oxygen atom. The ionic conductivity of the sample is found to be 8.5 X 10 -5 Scm -1 at 350 °C.
