Synthesis and characterization of InP/ZnSe/ZnS quantum dots for photo-emissive color conversion

Abstract: In this paper, a InP/ZnSe/ZnS quantum dots photoresist (QDPR) film has been successfully prepared after the as-synthesized InP/ZnSe/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) were mixed with the photoresist, where the molar ratio of P3- : In3+: Se2- was 6:1:3 and the reaction time the ZnS shell was 60 min. The influence of the thickness of the film and the mass ratio of InP/ZnS QDs to photoresist on the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) was investigated. The results show that the PLQY chang… Show more

“…After coating the ZnS shell, we recorded the Zn and S signals as shown in figures 3(d), (e). The Zn 2p signal can be fitted well with two peaks at 1021.6 eV and 1044.7 eV corresponding to the Zn 2p 3/2 and 2p 1/2 of Zn 2+ state [18,19]. The S 2p spectrum shows a complex band that can be deconvoluted into two doublets.…”

“…The S 2p spectrum shows a complex band that can be deconvoluted into two doublets. The S 2− state is confirmed by the doublet peak at 161.6 eV (2p 3/2 ) and 162.8 eV (2p 1/2 ) is mainly attributed to the Zn−S bond [19,20]. Another peak at the lower intensity at ∼168 eV was observed, which was reported as the oxidation of sulphur of self-assembled monolayers in an oxygen environment [21,22].…”

“…We had to select an appropriate QD and TiO 2 concentration to optimize the thickness. If the QDPR is too thin, significant light leakage can occur, leading to a low PLQY [ 33 ]. As demonstrated in Figure 5 d, compared to blue light, QDs absorb UV light more effectively.…”

“…2020 color gamut. Chen et al 31 synthesized InP/ZnSe/ZnS QDs for photo-emissive color conversion, and showed great potential for the fabrication of a high-quality QD color filter. Myeong et al 32 developed various process parameters for the QD photolithography with the custom QD photoresist, and the chromaticity of the QD photoresist in CIE 1931 color space covered 98.7% of the NTSC (1987) area.…”
