Abstract:In this research, we aimed to design an eco-efficient composite based on alkali-activated materials (AAMs) with self-cleaning properties for sustainable construction. Significant emphasis was placed on determining the role of the type of precursor, the amount of sodium silicate, and the addition of titanium dioxide on the rheological and mechanical properties of AAMs. An important aspect of the research was the modification of AAM with titanium dioxide to obtain the self-cleaning properties. Titanium dioxide, … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
