Synthesis and Characterization of Copper-Doped Zinc Selenide Quantum Dots as Fluorescence Probes for Sparfloxacin

Abstract: Copper-doped zinc selenide quantum dots modified with mercaptopropionic acid were prepared. The fluorescence quenching of the quantum dots was directly proportional to sparfloxacin concentration. A novel method was established to determine sparfloxacin using the copper-doped zinc selenide quantum dots as fluorescent probes. The interaction between the quantum dots and sparfloxacin was investigated by fluorescence and absorption spectroscopies. A linear relationship was obtained between the quenched fluorescenc… Show more

“…Nanocrystals (NCs), such as CdSe, CdTe, ZnSe, have been investigated because of their unique dimensions and size‐dependent physicochemical properties . The photoluminescence (PL) of doped ZnSe NCs can be tuned by changing the type and amount of impurity, and this property has attracted increasing attention . Mn‐ and Cu‐doped ZnSe NCs have been synthesized using aqueous and oil phase methods.…”
