Synthesis and characterization of amine-impregnated silica gel for potential carbon dioxide (CO2) absorption

Abstract: The rising of CO2 concentration in atmosphere become global concern due to its effect to the global warming. One potentially economical for CO2 capture is through adsorption using solid sorbents. Silica gel has potential to adsorb carbon dioxide with modification of silica gel with amine groups which provide specific adsorption sides for carbon dioxide adsorption.
