Abstract:Emulsion polymerization of 2-amino-4-(1-benzyl-1H-indol-3-yl) thiophene-3-carbonitrile (ABITC) using ammonium persulfate (APS) afforded two isomers of (PABITC) with high molecular weight. Chemical structure and morphology of the synthesized polymers were investigated by IR, 1HNMR, SEM, and GPC.
