“…In particular, we examined the synthesis of a perovskite-type oxynitride, LaTiO 2 N, which exhibits photocatalytic activity under visible light illumination [19]. LaTiO 2 N has been synthesized by nitridation of La 2 Ti 2 O 7 , however, it requires more than 35 h [20][21][22] to obtain single phase LaTiO 2 N. Therefore, normally La 2 Ti 2 O 7 was synthesized with a complex method [23,24] to obtain a nano-sized La 2 Ti 2 O 7 precursor with a high surface area to decrease the nitridation time of LaTiO 2 N. Hence, in this study, CTP was used to prepare very fine La 2 Ti 2 O 7 . The CTP process was, indeed, effective to prepare nano-sized La 2 Ti 2 O 7 powder.…”
