Metal complex of anti-diabetic drug, gliclazide was synthesized and characterized using elemental analyses, IR, NMR and thermal analyses technique. The results of conductometric titration using monovariation method indicate that complex is L 2 M (2:1) type which was confirmed by Job's method of continuous variation. The complex having the general formula i.e. (C 15 H 20 N 3 O 3 S) 2 Cu. The geometry of complex is assigned square planner supported by IR and 1 H NMR and propose structure (Scheme 2) for complex. The Freeman-Carroll and Sharp-Wentworth methods have been used to calculate activation energy and thermal stability. Thermodynamic parameters such as free energy change (ΔG), entropy change (ΔS) are also determined on the basis of TG curves and by using data of the Freeman-Carroll method and relative thermal stability of the complex are discussed.
