Syntheses, Crystal Structures and Fluorescent Property of Two Lanthanide Complexes

Abstract: Two new lanthanide complexes, [Eu 2 (Pht) 2 (HPht) 2 (Phen) 2 (H 2 O) 4 ] (1) and H 4 COO) 3 (H 2 O) 2 ] n (2) (where Pht 2-=dianion of o-phthalic acid, HPht -=mono-anion of o-phthalic acid, Phen=1,10-phenanthroline, 3-CNC 6 H 4 COO=3-cyanobenzoate) have been synthesized and their crystal structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. The result shows that 1,3-dicyanobenzene was hydrolyzed to give 3-cyanobenzoate under the hydrothermal condition. The compound 2 forms a one-dimensional coordination polym… Show more

“…Lanthanide complexes containing carboxylic acid ligands have been studied owing to their intresting coordination patterns and catalyticp roperties, and the effective approaches to synthesize novelpolynuclear lanthanide complexeswithuniquestructures andpropertiesunder thehydrothermal/solvothermal method [1][2][3]. Thetitle crystalstructure presents as anovel non-electrolytecomplex with 1D chain.…”

“…[13] Hence, the solid-state photoluminescence properties of Cd(II) polymer 1, together with the free bmb ligand and p-H 2 bdc, were investigated at room temperature. As shown in Figure 6, polymer 1, free ligands p-H 2 bdc and bmb show intense emission bands at 441 nm (λ ex = 336 nm), 383 nm (λ ex = 314 nm), and 309 nm (λ ex = 293 nm), respectively.…”
