Abstract

<jats:p>Stibanes RSbHal<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> are reductivly coupled by interaction with Na<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>M<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>(CO)<jats:sub>10</jats:sub> (M = Cr, W) or Cp(CO)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>MnTHF. The resulting distibanes RS̲b̲(Hal)-(Hal)S̲b̲R are coordinated to sixteen elec­tron L<jats:sub>n</jats:sub>M-fragments (L<jats:sub>n</jats:sub>M=M(CO)<jats:sub>5</jats:sub>, Cp(CO)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>Mn). Both the meso and d/l stereoisomeres are structurally characterised by X-ray analyses. </jats:p>

Novel Main Group-Transition Metal Cluster Compounds Incorporating Antimony, Iron and Cobalt

“…The Fe atom of the tetrahedron additionally coordinates to three carbonyl ligands, whereas each antimony atom binds to an Fe(CO) 2 Cp" fragment. Within the Sb 3 unit two different kinds of Sb···Sb distances are observed: long distances are found around the Sb (3) [11] possessing the longest known SbϪSb single bond length of 3.069(6) Å . Intermolecular Sb···Sb distances within the structure of 2 are in the range of 3.678(1)Ϫ4.271(1) Å , as found for Me 4 Sb 2 [12] and [(η 3 -Sb 3 ){Mo(CO) 2 Cp x }] (Cp x ϭ Cp, Cp*).…”
