Synthesen und Strukturen von Distibankomplexen / Syntheses and Structures of Distibane Complexes

Abstract: Stibanes RSbHal2 are reductivly coupled by interaction with Na2M2(CO)10 (M = Cr, W) or Cp(CO)2MnTHF. The resulting distibanes RS̲b̲(Hal)-(Hal)S̲b̲R are coordinated to sixteen electron LnM-fragments (LnM=M(CO)5, Cp(CO)2Mn). Both the meso and d/l stereoisomeres are structurally characterised by X-ray analyses. Show more

“…Single crystals of 2 suitable for X-ray diffraction were obtained from a saturated solution in toluene upon storage at ambient temperature. The molecular structure of 2 (Figure ) confirms the presence of a dihalodistibane, which has previously only been reported as a distibene/dichlorodistibane cocrystal and as transition-metal complexes . The central Sb 2 Cl 2 moiety is disordered over two positions, and only the major component is considered.…”

“…The molecular structure of 2 (Figure 2) confirms the presence of a dihalodistibane, which has previously only been reported as a distibene/dichlorodistibane cocrystal 20 and as transition-metal complexes. 21 The central Sb 2 Cl 2 moiety is disordered over two positions, and only the major component is considered. Compound 2 adopts an antiperiplanar conformation with respect to the Sb−Sb bond to minimize the steric repulsion between the boryl ligands.…”

“…The Fe atom of the tetrahedron additionally coordinates to three carbonyl ligands, whereas each antimony atom binds to an Fe(CO) 2 Cp" fragment. Within the Sb 3 unit two different kinds of Sb···Sb distances are observed: long distances are found around the Sb (3) [11] possessing the longest known SbϪSb single bond length of 3.069(6) Å . Intermolecular Sb···Sb distances within the structure of 2 are in the range of 3.678(1)Ϫ4.271(1) Å , as found for Me 4 Sb 2 [12] and [(η 3 -Sb 3 ){Mo(CO) 2 Cp x }] (Cp x ϭ Cp, Cp*).…”
