Synthesen und Kristallstrukturen der Ag-S-Clusterverbindungen [Ag70S16(SPh)34(PhCO2)4(triphos)4] und [Ag188S94(PR3)30]

Abstract: Professor Achim M¸ller zum 65. Erst k¸rzlich gelang z. B. die Strukturbestimmung von Na 48 [H x Mo 368 O 1032 (H 2 O) 240 (SO 4 ) 48 ]¥n H 2 O (x % 16, n % 1000), dem grˆ˚ten bisher bekannten Derivat einer Heteropolys‰u-re. [1] Weitere Beispiele f¸r gro˚e Clusterkomple… Show more

“…Nanoscale clusters are of great popularity due to the novel structural characteristics and rich electronic, magnetic, optical, and catalytic properties associated with their quantum‐size effects 1. Although the cluster chemistry of transition metals (TMs) is now well‐established and many huge clusters of manganese,2 copper,3 nickel,4 molybdenum,5 and silver6 have been synthesized successfully, the analogous chemistry of lanthanides is less developed7 because the synthesis of nanosized high‐nuclearity clusters is still a big challenge. At present, a common synthetic strategy for hydroxo lanthanide clusters is to control the hydrolysis of lanthanide salts in the presence of supporting ligands 7.…”
