Abstract. The use of various electrochemical techniquesin the synthesis, characterization and applications of molecularconductors derived from transition metal complexes of the dmit!" ligand, is reviewed (Hydmit = 4,5-dimercapto-I,3-dithia-2-thione). Cyclic voitammetry can be used for the detection of the formation of conductive species derived from the concerned complexes. The use of the TTF[Ni(dmithh compound! as electrode materialand its electrochemical behaviour with various supportingelectrolytes, is extensively studied.
