“…Tb 2 O 3 /Y 2 O 3 /ZrO 2 = 5:4:2 (TYZ-1) crystal is successfully fabricated with the dimension of Φ5 mm × 20 mm, as shown in Figure a. The crystal was obtained without any cracks because the Zr 4+ -doped crystal has a good thermal insulation property, and it can reduce the thermal stress to obtain the high-quality single crystal. Upon increasing Zr 4+ -doped concentration, the Tb 2 O 3 /Y 2 O 3 /ZrO 2 = 5:1:8 (TYZ-2) crystal has a higher melting point of 2600 °C . When precursor rods are held for about 3 h with an incident laser of 1.9 kW, which closes the device limitation of 2 kW, it is still difficult to maintain stability in the acquired heating zone due to the insufficient heating power.…”

“…Thermal conductivity plays a crucial role in determining the effectiveness of thermal insulation materials. In accordance with ISO 22007-2:2015, we conducted a study on the thermal conductivity of YbFMs. The YbFMs with an apparent density of 35 mg·cm –3 exhibited a minimum thermal conductivity of 28.9 mW·m –1 ·K –1 , which is comparable to that of other ceramic products (Figure a,b). ,, In addition, the operating temperature of YbFMs can reach up to 1350 °C, surpassing those of most lightweight insulation materials, such as SiO 2 composite fibrous membranes, , ceramic aerogels, , and anisotropic lamellar ceramic sponges .…”

“…Such micro-/nanoparticles might aggregate in the environment or natural ecosystems during the detoxication process and it is implausible to recover the adsorbents again. 22 Hence, it is highly desirable to hybridize such catalytically active MOFs with protective modules, such as cartridge lters, 23 selfstanding polymeric membranes, 24,25 packed column beads, 26 and wearable garments with applications as an effective real-time ltration entity. 27 Among these, the development of catalytically active MOF-impregnated fabrics, in combination with air permeability, gives rise to the self-detoxifying ltration fabric.…”
