Abstract:Objectives:To determine the synergistic antioxidative potential of cosmosiin and vanillic acid. Methods: The synergistic antioxidative potential of cosmosiin and vanillic acid was evaluated using their ability to scavenge 2, 2 ′azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), superoxide anions (O 2• − ), and 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). The ability to convert Fe 3+into Fe 2+ was used to evaluate the combined reducing power of cosmosiin and vanillic acid. The synergistic effect of cosmosiin … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
