Syndemic Interaction Between Hiv and Tb- A Catastrophic Duet

Abstract: BACKGROUND TB is the most common opportunistic infection (OI) among HIV-infected individuals and co-infected individuals are at high risk of death. The risk of developing tuberculosis (TB) is estimated to be between 16-27 times greater in people living with HIV than among those without HIV infection.
