Synchronization of Uncertain Complex Networks with Time‐Varying Node Delay and Multiple Time‐Varying Coupling Delays

Abstract: This paper investigates the synchronization problem of a class of complex dynamical networks via an adaptive control method. It differs from existing works in considering intrinsic delay and multiple different time-varying coupling delays, and uncertain couplings. A simple approach is used to linearize the uncertainties with the norm-bounded condition. Simple but suitable adaptive controllers are designed to drive all nodes of the complex network locally and globally synchronize to a desired state. In addition… Show more

“…However, in practical NCS, there inevitably exist time delay, quantization, data packet dropouts and other uncertainties because of the introduction of the communication network, which could cause negative impact on control systems, even lead to instability. Thus, increasing research interests have recently been paid to the study of the stability and stabilization with uncertainties and time‐varying delays, such as …”

“…Meanwhile, lots of network models have been introduced to describe the real world. In particular, synchronization is an interesting and important collective phenomena in networks and has been deeply investigated . The research on synchronization can be tracked to the most important work of Huygens about pendulum clocks in the 17th century.…”
