Synacinn™: Bacterial reverse mutation test data in five histidine-requiring strains of Salmonella Typhimurium

Abstract: The present data described the analysis of mutagenicity in Synacinn TM by assessing the point mutations occurring due to Synacinn™ exposure to five tester strains of Salmonella typhimurium (TA1537, TA1535, TA98, TA100 and TA102), in the presence or absence of an exogenous mammalian metabolic activation system (S9). It was conducted in two Phases - Phase I (Dose Range Finding experiment-DRF) and Phase II (Mutagenicity Assay 1 and 2). DRF and Mutagenicity Assay 1 was… Show more

“…The association of TPC and TFC per gram of gel formulation is a required parameter to ensure the safety, efficacy, quality, and batch-tobatch reproducibility of the final products. Few data about the quantification of markers in a formulation containing botanical extracts (Zainol et al, 2021) have been reported in the literature.…”

“…Salmonella typhimurium strains TA 98 and TA 100 were obtained from Microbial-type culture collection (MTCC) in Chandigarh, India, to perform the top agar method of Ames Salmonella mutagenicity test. These histidine auxotrophic strains are typically used to detect chemical mutagens and assess their mutagenic potential (Zainol et al 2021). S. typhimurium cultures (MTCC 1251 and MTCC 1252) were grown for 10 hours and used as the starter culture for the assay.…”
