Sympathetic Vascular Tone in Human Obesity

Abstract: Obesity is associated with increased sympathoactivation that elevates arterial pressure. However, the mechanism linking sympathetic activation to arterial pressure is unclear. Specifically, it has never been demonstrated unequivocally that sympathetically mediated vasoconstriction is increased in obesity.
