“…Modern X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy using high-resolution soft X-ray beam lines of synchrotron radiation facilities is now able to resolve the very small 1r g1r u splittings ($0.1 eV) in the core ionization of molecular C 2 H 2 [11,12] and N 2 [13,14]. Partial cross sections for the 1r g and 1r u core-level photoionization of C 2 H 2 [12,15] and N 2 [13,16] were also measured in the shape resonance regions. These investigations motivated us to extend the 1r g -1r u resolved measurement for the core-level photoemission from the C 2 H 2 and N 2 molecules to the high energy range up to $1 keV and observe the CF interference pattern.…”
