Decision-making for the selection of treatment alternatives and landfilling of municipal solid waste (MSW) is based on the experience and judgment of those management responsible, without considering multicriteria analysis. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to determine the treatment scenario and landfilling of MSW with the lowest environmental and economic costs in a medium-sized city. The methodology included the definition and data processing of the project (population, generation, and composition of MSW), for 16 years. In the design of scenarios, recycling, composting, incineration with energy recovery, and landfilling treatments were proposed; later, the combinations of treatments for each type of residue were generated. The results showed 36 scenarios, then the ELECTRE method was applied to the five with the lowest economical and environmental costs. Finally from the latter, one dominant scenario was determined: organic waste in composting; plastic, paper, and glass in recycling; and 'others' in landfilling. It is concluded that the final decision on the scenario is adapted to the particular conditions of the locality.

Kamrangirchar is a raised land and industrial area situated on the bank of the Buriganga River in Dhaka city. The industries of this area are producing a huge amount of solid and liquid wastes all of which are disposed into the Buriganga river and other nearby places. This study attempts to explore the scenario of industrial waste management in Kamrangirchar (raised land) and its effect on the surrounding environment. The methodology of this study includes in-depth interviews and tries to explore the ways of managing waste properly. This study tries to explore more effective ways of managing industrial waste for a sound and safe environment. Environmental pollution has been a major global problem nowadays. Nature is being destroyed because of the excessive exploitation of the environment. Some elements of the environment and ecology like forests, natural sources of water, land, and air are gradually being polluted in Bangladesh, although these are essential for survival. Lack of awareness of the industrial units, poor implementation of the government policy of industrial waste management, inappropriate initiatives to dispose of the waste properly, and ineffective laws are responsible for the improper management of industrial waste in Kamrangirchar which is affecting the environment directly and indirectly.

This research is focusing on designing of wet garbage transformers as artificial soil. According to the result, it represented that the artificial soil can be brought to cultivate Marigold trees to be abundant with giving for Grade B flowers. Moreover, it has the duration to bloom in short times with good quality of tree’s height and suitable size of flower’s diameter. However, the customer satisfaction is depending on equipment uniqueness and applying convenience with the regression equation that is congruent to ŷ = (4.478) +(-0.002 X1) +(-0.066 X2) +(0.011 X3) +(0.074 X4) as in the form of criteria scores which is congruent to Z = (-0.003 X1) +(-0.088 X2) +(0.017 X3) +(0.095 X4).satisfaction at the excellent level for people in the development communities (Mean=4.10, S.D. =0.78).
