“…Of course, in addition to the N‐doped, there is also S‐doped in heteroatom doping. For example, S‐doped BCDs were prepared using molasses as a carbon source by heating for 4 h in a 180 °C autoclave. The particle size of the S‐doped BCDs prepared was about 3.5 nm, and the quantum yield reached 47%.…”

“…Similar with graphene, GQDs have capability to bind with a variety of aromatic bimolecular through the π-π stacking interaction and/or electrostatic binding. However compared with graphene sheets, GQDs exhibit improved biocompatibility and minimal toxicity [16][17][18], making them more promising materials for delivering of biologically active cargoes into living systems. In recent years, many researchers have been dedicated to the application of GQDs in drug delivery systems [19][20][21].…”

“…Moreover, the ratio of D and G band intensity (I D /I G ) is 0.89, which represents the crystalline and graphitic nature of B,N-GQDs [33]. The XRD patterns of B,N-GQDs also show a broad peak at 2θ of 26.0 • and a small peak at 2θ of 40.3 • , which are the characteristic peak of (002) interlayer spacing and (100) in-plane lattice spacing of graphene in B,N-GQDs structure ( Figure S1c, Supplementary materials) [34].…”
