The sudden surge in demand to use plastic products due to COVID-19 pandemic has increased plastic pollution. It has resulted into degradation of a broad range of habitats and ecosystems by destroying natural functions, water quality, and environmental sustainability. However, the government agencies, scientific communities, and the public, have started to give attention to this issue. So, in the present study, we used the correlation methods to check the relationship between COVID-19 affected population with the medical plastic waste (MPW) that has developed a conceptual model of the inter-linkages between the preventive measures of COVID-19 pandemic problems and the reduction challenges of plastic waste during and after pandemic scenarios. Emerging issues in the waste management during and after the COVID-19 are established by reviewing the literature, reports, policy briefs, and information from the website concerning COVID-19. Considering MPW management issues, we selected India as a case study to analyse the plastic waste footprint (PWF) due to COVID-19 pandemic. The correlation results showed COVID-19 affected population and MPW; COVID-19 affected population and PWF have a significant relationship (R 2 = 0.60; Area under ROC curve 81.4%). It suggests an urgent need for plastic waste management initiatives. Moreover, substantial plastic products, human awareness, strict government regulations, and inclusive research can check plastic waste footprints in India and worldwide. Then discuss the specific pathways through which the immediate and long-term impacts operate and highlight the issues of hampering the sustainable development goals (SDGs) progress in India and beyond. Finally, call for coordinated assessment, support and appropriate short- and long-term mitigation and the policy measures of plastic waste problems during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Koperasi Peternak Sapi Bandung Utara (KPSBU) is a dairy breeding cooperative which produces dairy products. Up to now, around 93,35 percent of its products are delivered exclusively to several big dairy factories. This condition brings pressure to bear on KPSBU in terms of price and any other conditions. To enhance its autonomy, KPSBU needs strategies to use to develop its business. This study aims to analyze the internal-external factors that will affect the KPSBU business system and offer recommendations on strategies for business development. The data collection used in this study is Primary data which obtained by field observations and direct interviews with experts including the internal-external factors that influence the cooperative business; head of manager, production division, and processed milk. At the input stage, we use the internal-external matrix, matching stage with the SWOT analysis, and at the decision stage, we employ the Quantitative Strategy Planning Matrix. The results show that the priority strategies for KPSBU are by optimizing business process digitally (6.17), doing a partnership with the area of tourist attraction to be the supplier of dairy products (5.99), as well as providing training for a dairy cattle breeder in risk mitigation and livestock management (5.84

Safety supervision aims to safeguard the overall interests of the corporation, and ensure its safety production together with sustainable development. It is the key to reducing accident rates, and safeguarding employees’ safety and corporate property. The establishment of safety supervision system requires specify strategies. However, it is difficult to determine such strategies in an objective manner under complex environments. Therefore, first, this paper combined an external factor evaluation matrix (EFEM) and an internal factor evaluation matrix (IFEM) to analyze the internal and external safety environments faced by X Group Corporation (XGC). Second, the strength-weakness-opportunity-threat (SWOT) approach was employed to qualitatively analyze and explore the alternative safety supervision strategies. Following this, the most attractive strategies were selected from alternatives by using the quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM), namely construction of the safety culture system, clarification of modes and organizational structure of safety supervision, and improvement of the safety performance evaluation system. These strategies were subsequently applied in the construction and improvement of the XGC’s safety supervision system. This study can provide reliable theoretical and methodological support for the establishment of corporations’ safety supervision systems.
