Sustainable development goals for industry, innovation, and infrastructure: demolition waste incorporated with nanoplastic waste enhanced the physicomechanical properties of white cement paste composites

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacts the increase in plastic waste from food packaging, masks, gloves, and personal protective equipment (PPE), resulting in an environmental disaster, if collected, processed, transported, or disposed inappropriately. Plastic waste has a very long deterioration time in the environment (soil and water), cheap, and plentiful. Additionally, construction waste disposal is a process that transfers debris to a state that does lead to any sustainable or environmental problems. … Show more

“…2a,b, and prove that PW reach nano size scale e.g. NPW size between 56.93 and 81.14 nm., as reported elsewhere 4 . Figure 3 report the SEM & TEM analysis of NT, illustrated the spherical and amorphous shape, while the particle size is on the order between 79 and 99 nm.…”

“…Replacement will have a negative impact on the WC reflection profile on the 3-axis (Rx = 86.24, Ry = 86.20, Rz = 80.59) 4,44 , since Ry, is one of the key indications for the quality of white cement On the Elerpho apparatus, HL is the key perimeter for the whiteness intensity, whereas Hinter a (Ha) and Hinter b (Hb) are reflections of the colors brown and green, respectively. Under the Elerpho apparatus, both NPW and NT have low Ry intensity.…”

“…As the counter electrode, a Pt-wire was employed. The potential of the working electrode was evaluated in comparison to a silver/silver chloride (3.0 Mol/KCl) electrode [26]. 16 (1) 120 ml of pure methanol should be passed through dry hydrogen chloride gas till saturation.…”

“…Figure 13 report the microstructure for BR1 samples modified by 0.5% and 1.0% conducted on some selected samples obtained from modulating asphalt with polymeric catalyst after aging (10 min). The incorporation of polymer into the microstructure of the asphalt system further complicates the study of the internal structure of the modified asphalt and its effect on the rheological and morphological properties of asphalt because the shape and rheological properties of asphalt result from the interactions of polymer and asphalt [51,52]. In BR1 0.5 morphology is a more compact surface and has less porosity; there is a difference in the structural form of the conventional asphalt through SEM and EDX examination.…”
