Teachers play a crucial role in supporting the development of students’ environmental knowledge and skills for responding to environmental change, but previous research has not sufficiently explored teachers’ perceptions of this matter. The article reports on a survey aimed at studying subject student teachers’ (SSTs, n = 113) perceptions of environmental problems, their interest in sustainable development (SD) and their own role as environmental problem solvers. The material was gathered using a questionnaire and analysis by quantitative methods. Urban environment and infrastructure problems were the most frequently mentioned. Problems of ecosystems and indifference and a lack of information were also mentioned often, while the least noted were problems of human wellbeing. The majority of SSTs were interested in SD, but interest in SD was dependent on the discipline studied and gender. Two-thirds of women and one-third of men were very interested, and more than half of biology and geography SSTs were very interested. Over half of SSTs reported that environmental problems had to be solved by someone else; only about one-seventh perceived themselves to be solvers. The SSTs felt that they could influence the solutions to environmental problems more often on a local than on a regional or global level.

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo ofrecer una visión general de la relación que mantiene el deporte en España con la sostenibilidad, especialmente a partir de la promulgación de los ODS y la Agenda 2030 de Naciones Unidas en 2015, y su reflejo en los medios. A través de una metodología descriptiva basada en el análisis de contenido, se ha estudiado la evolución de las noticias sobre el binomio deporte-sostenibilidad publicadas en prensa escrita y digital, de carácter nacional. Este análisis se ha extendido, también, a la marca ‘LaLiga’ y a los 42 clubes de fútbol profesional que integran este ente. Los principales resultados reflejan una evolución creciente del volumen de contenidos difundidos sobre el objeto de estudio, con trayectorias similares en el caso del deporte, LaLiga y los equipos de Primera División, y con un recorrido irregular en el caso de los clubes de Segunda. En el caso de la máxima categoría del fútbol español, las tres entidades con mayor presupuesto y proyección social lideran, principalmente, la difusión de contenidos sobre sostenibilidad, mientras que en el caso de la división de plata hacen lo propio los equipos más históricos, con mayor masa social y que permanecen más años en dicha competición.

Environmental challenges such as climate change and global warming are matters of worldwide significance. In response to these concerns, numerous countries have implemented proactive measures to significantly decrease the release of greenhouse gases. The Forest Carbon Partnership employs sustainable forestry practices to capture and store carbon dioxide. Forest Carbon Partnership concerns have been extensively explored by numerous experts. These studies comprehensively examine forest carbon partnerships based on their publication, authorship, and journal. The objective of the research is to identify 132 pertinent studies from the Scopus database that have been conducted within the last ten years. This study employs bibliometrics and VOSviewer to analyze the Forest Carbon Partnership. The analysis examines the distribution of publications over time, trends in authorship and citations, contributions by country, and subject areas. The study demonstrated that research on the Forest Carbon Partnership exhibits variability but had an upward trend in 2021, particularly in the field of environmental science. The United States and Indonesia have the greatest number of published studies. This bibliometric analysis investigated the progress and evolution of forest carbon partnerships during the last ten years. This study offers distinctive insights into several facets of these interactions and proposes intriguing avenues for further research.
