Sustainable Decentralization: Power, Extraconstitutional Influence and Subnational Symmetry in the United States and Spain

Abstract: In the Madisonian tradition of constitutional design, the foundation of a sustainable federalism is thought to be a scientifically precise balancing of national and subnational power.
