Organizations are transforming their linear models into circular models in order to become more sustainable. Remanufacturing is an essential element of the circular model; thus, there is an urgent need to adopt remanufacturing. It can offer organizations economic and environmental advantages and facilitate the transition to a circular economy (CE). Several aspects are crucial to the use of remanufacturing methods in order to transition to the CE. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to develop a framework for investigating the causal relationship among determinants of adopting remanufacturing processes for the circular economy. Through an integrated approach comprising a literature review and the Modified Delphi Method, we identified ten remanufacturing adoption determinants. The causal relationship among these determinants was established using the DEMATEL method. Furthermore, we classified these determinants into cause and effect groups. Five determinants, “consumer preferences”, “remanufacturing adoption framework”, “market opportunities”, “management commitment”, and “preferential tax policies”, belong to the cause group, and the remaining five belong to the effect group based on the effect score. To implement remanufacturing processes and transition to a circular economy, it is necessary to pay greater attention to these identified determinants, especially those that belong to the cause group. The outcomes of this study may aid management and policy makers in formulating strategies for effectively implementing remanufacturing methods within their organizations.

Purpose During the different phases of enterprise creation, entrepreneurial learning (EL) can be understood as an effective process. This study aims to find out the cause-and-effect relationships of the factors that are impacting EL. Design/methodology/approach This research has been conducted in two ways: first, the factors are identified through a systematic analysis of EL, and second, the cause-and-effect relationship among EL factors is analyzed using decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory, which is dependent on the opinion of experts. A network relationship matrix is also drawn from the measured factors. Findings A causal relationship has been established within the identified EL factors. Results indicate that educators and practitioners should focus and concentrate on the cause group-related factors, which are entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial training, entrepreneurial competencies, experiences, family influence and role models. The remaining two, entrepreneurial perception and entrepreneurial willingness, are identified as being in the effect group. These two factors are affected and influenced by the cause group factors. Research limitations/implications By recognizing the multidimensionality of EL, this study gives the chance to look at what it means to be an entrepreneur from both a personal and a social point of view, including learning styles, learning from mistakes and self-regulated learning. Future research is urged to build tools that accurately capture this crucial factors of EL, thus allowing the field to gain greater integration and information accumulation. Originality/value Researchers have previously described factors that influence EL, but to the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is one of few studies that depict the cause-and-effect relationship between EL factors. These factors are critical to the growth of talented entrepreneurs in both developed and developing countries for promoting an entrepreneurial culture.

Background: Job Training activities or Field Work Practices (PKL) are one of the requirements that must be carried out by students of the Business Administration Study Program, Department of Commercial Administration, Politeknik Negeri Jakarta. This obligation is carried out by students after they graduate from semester 5. Aim: The purpose of this study is to determine the company's response to the competence of students of the Department of Commercial Administration, Politeknik Negeri Jakarta when implementing PKL and company expectations for the major. Method: The research design used in this study was descriptive qualitative. Data collection was applied retrospectively from the provided. The research was conducted in a company collaborating with the Business Administration Study Program, Department of Commercial Administration, Politeknik Negeri Jakarta and was a place for students to conduct PKL for the period of February to April 2017. The sample was selected using a simple random sampling technique with a minimum number of samples taken from each class of 13 students based on the Slovin formula. Findings: The ability of students to adapt to the environment in a very special category. Student initiative and creativity towards the corporate environment in a very special category. Students communication skills were categorized as very special. Potential student attitudes appear in the very special category. Skills in carrying out tasks include conformity with instructions, quality of work results, punctuality and problem-solving ability are very special categories. The discipline and independence of the community towards the company environment in the category was very special.
