Several authors (Partyka, 1969;Olthof, 1974, 1993;Olthof et al, 1974;Knight et al, 1997;Castillo and Jimenez-Diaz, 2003;Manachini et al, 2002;Ibrahim et al, 2013Ibrahim et al, , 2021Premachandra and Gowen, 2015;Basyony et al, 2020) reported that certain plant parasitic nematodes such as Helicotylenchus labiatus, Heterodera schachtii, Meloidogyne hapla, M. incognita, M. javanica and Pratylenchus penetrans may occur and infect spinach, garden beet and other similar vegetable crops.
