The phenomenon of workplace accidents is a global relevance issue in terms of its social and economic impact on the working population and on businesses. Although the number of occupational injuries is still very high today, it is worth noting that in recent years a downward trend is taking place. Occupational risk prevention is mainly aimed at ensuring a better understanding of the problem so as to be fully aware of the best and most effective safety measures to adopt in workplace environments. The phenomenon of workplace injuries is a global relevance issue because of the social and economic impact that its consequences may have on the working population as well as on enterprises. Indeed, even though the total number of accidents has diminished, many interventions have yet to be put in place to limit this phenomenon, whose consequences are not only economic but also, and above all, human.
