Abstract: Acquired von Willebrand syndrome (AVWS) is a rare disorder that is characterised by an acquired deficiency of von Willebrand factor. AVWS was suspected in a patient with type III von Willebrand disease (VWD) who did not respond to factor replacement therapy.
