“…These results of simple closure are similar to those reported by Redman [2], who was successful with the ®rst simple closure in 80% of 51 ®stulae and half of those recurring at the second closure. Other groups [4,5] reported successful ®rst simple closure of ®stula in 75% and 83%, respectively. In other series [6±9] success at the ®rst simple closure of ®stula was reported in 88±92% of cases, while success at the second simple repair was reported in 90±100%, respectively.…”
