Surgical Strategy for Multilevel Severe Ossification of Posterior Longitudinal Ligament in the Cervical Spine

Abstract: Anterior corpectomy and fusion was significantly more effective for multilevel severe OPLL when compared with posterior laminoplasty in the cervical spine. If having technical difficulties and posterior decompression was alternatively performed, instrumented fusion was recommended to help to restore cervical lordosis and produce better results according to this study.
