Abstract:SummaryThis paper presents some of the results of a study of some selected surgical procedures in Queensland for the three‐year period 1973 to 1975. The data show a notable variation in rates among the residents of the various Statistical Divisions of the State. There is, also, for each operation, a statistically significant variation of some Divisional rates from the State rate. Some interpretations are made.
