Surgical Management of Typhoid Ileum Perforations: A Systematic Review

Abstract: Background: Typhoid is a disease caused by a gram negative bacterium Salmonella typhi. Prolonged infection leads to necrosis in the Peyer's patches of the antimesenteric border of bowel leading to intestinal perforation.
