Abstract: The demand for lithium is constantly increasing due to its wide range of uses in an excessive number of industrial applications. Typically, expensive lithium-based chemicals (LiOH, LiCl, LiNO3, etc.) have been used to fabricate adsorbents (i.e., lithium manganese oxide) for lithium ion (Li+) adsorption from aqueous sources.
