Layered transition metal (TM) oxides of the stoichiometry NaxMO2 (M = TM) have shown great promise in sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs); however, they are extremely sensitive to moisture. To date, most reported titanium‐based layered anodes exhibit a P2‐type structure. In contrast, O3‐type compounds are rarely investigated and their synthesis is challenging due to their higher percentage of unstable Ti3+ than the P2 type. Here, a pure phase and highly crystalline O3‐type Na0.73Li0.36Ti0.73O2 with high performance is successfully proposed in SIBs. This material delivers a reversible capacity of 108 mAh g−1 with a stable and safe potential of 0.75 V versus Na/Na+. In situ X‐ray diffraction reveals that this material does not undergo any phase transitions and exhibits a near‐zero volume change upon Na+ insertion/de‐insertion, which ensures exceptional long cycle life over 6000 cycles. Importantly, it is found that this O3‐Na0.73Li0.36Ti0.73O2 shows superior moisture stability, even when immersed into water, which are both elusive for conventional layered TM oxides in SIBs. It is believed that the small interlayer distance and high occupation of interlayer vacancy promise such unprecedented water stability.

Sodium ion batteries (SIBs) have drawn significant attention owing to their low cost and inherent safety. However, the absence of suitable anode materials with high rate capability and long cycling stability is the major challenge for the practical application of SIBs. Herein, an efficient anode material consisting of uniform hollow iron sulfide polyhedrons with cobalt doping and graphene wrapping (named as CoFeS@rGO) is developed for high‐rate and long‐life SIBs. The graphene‐encapsulated hollow composite assures fast and continuous electron transportation, high Na+ ion accessibility, and strong structural integrity, showing an extremely small volume expansion of only 14.9% upon sodiation and negligible volume contraction during the desodiation. The CoFeS@rGO electrode exhibits high specific capacity (661.9 mAh g−1 at 100 mA g−1), excellent rate capability (449.4 mAh g−1 at 5000 mA g−1), and long cycle life (84.8% capacity retention after 1500 cycles at 1000 mA g−1). In situ X‐ray diffraction and selected‐area electron diffraction patterns show that this novel CoFeS@rGO electrode is based on a reversible conversion reaction. More importantly, when coupled with a Na3V2(PO4)3/C cathode, the sodium ion full battery delivers a superexcellent rate capability (496.8 mAh g−1 at 2000 mA g−1) and ≈96.5% capacity retention over 200 cycles at 500 mA g−1 in the 1.0–3.5 V window. This work indicates that the rationally designed anode material is highly applicable for the next generation SIBs with high‐rate capability and long‐term cyclability.

Sodium titanate (Na 2 Ti 3 O 7 ) has been considered as a promising anode in sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) because of its low working voltage, high energy density and low cost. However, low electronic and ionic conductivity become the major obstacles to affect the improvement of its electrochemical performance.Here, based on the high specific surface area and high conductivity of reduced graphene oxides (rGO), a dense sandwich-like structure was built through a facile hydrothermal route. The Na 2 Ti 3 O 7 @rGO (NTO@rGO) composites have a stable two-dimensional conductive network framework and the Na 2 Ti 3 O 7 particles grow in situ on the surface of the rGO nanosheets, greatly improving the utilization of rGO by reducing the introduction of rGO. Moreover, when the NTO@rGO was used as an anode for SIBs, it showed an excellent cycle stability and rate performance with 137 mAh g À 1 at 100 mA g À 1 after 500 cycles and 92 mA g À 1 at 2 A g À 1 , respectively.
