“…This Fe-complex in solution is the same as that found by Kowalchyk [13] assigned to an Fe(III) bis(dopamine) anion complex, [Fe(III)(L 2-) 2 ] 1-, at pH 6-7. The complex prepared by Kowalchyk [13] presents a band at 570 nm and the strongest Raman band at 1,482 cm -1 (m 19a ) characteristic of the metal-catecholate complexes, and m C-O (1,272 cm -1 ), m 3 (1,330 cm -1 ), m 19a (1,425 cm -1 ), m 8a (1,566 cm -1 ). Our complex was studied using the resonance Raman spectroscopy showing the same bands observed by Kowalchyk, the characteristic dopacatecholate (L 2-) band at 1,482, 1,280, 1,338, 1,443, and 1,540 cm -1 [13,16].…”
