Abstract:We demonstrate a surface-enhanced Raman scattering substrate consisting of a closely spaced metal nanodome array fabricated on flexible plastic film. We used a low cost, large area replica molding process to produce a 2-dimensional periodic array of cylinders that is subsequently overcoated with SiO 2 and silver thin films to form dome-shaped structures. Finite element modeling was used to investigate the electromagnetic field distribution of the nanodome array structure and the effect of the nanodome separati… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
