Surface Drilling Parameters and Drilling Optimization Techniques: Are They Useful Tools in Gas Hydrate Detection?

Abstract: This paper examines the application of surface drilling parameters and drilling optimization techniques, such as mechanical specific energy (MSE) and equivalent strength (EST), in detecting hydrate gas-bearing sediments during drilling operations.
